Cobent Expands Its Team

<p><strong>Oxfordshire, England &mdash; Oct. 30</strong><br />Cobent, a provider of solutions for e-learning, training and compliance-led process management across the entire range of international blue-chip companies, fast-growth startups and public sector organizations, has expanded its team with the addition of four senior appointments. They are:<br /><br />&bull; Jordan Ambrose has become Cobent&rsquo;s sales director. Ambrose brings to his new role more than 10 years of sales management experience, eight of which have been spent in the e-learning marketplace.<br /><br />Ambrose, who oversees Cobent&rsquo;s direct and channel sales, was previously at the ILX Group plc, where he managed e-learning solutions for organizations such as Nestle, British American Tobacco, Xerox and Pirelli.<br /><br />&bull; Phil Clare has become head of Cobent&rsquo;s development team. Based at Cobent&rsquo;s Manchester offices, Clare is a graduate in computing from Manchester Metropolitan University and a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer who ran his own computer software business before joining Cobent.<br /><br />&bull; Denise Harvey has become Cobent&rsquo;s project and implementation manager. Previously the environment and implementation manager for financial advisers and stockbrokers at TD Waterhouse Investor Services Europe, Harvey holds ITIL practitioner qualifications in software release management and service management.<br /><br />Her role at Cobent includes project management as well as overseeing the quality control of Cobent&rsquo;s software and Cobent&rsquo;s post-implementation support infrastructure.<br /><br />&bull; Alistair Morrison has joined Cobent as a non-executive director. Morrison, also a non-executive director of the consultancy-led publishing house Echelon, was &mdash; as managing director of learning content producer Skillchange Systems &mdash; one of the leaders of the U.K.&rsquo;s embryonic e-learning industry in the 1990s.<br /><br />Previously an operational board director at defense and space specialists Vega plc and later marketing director at the specialist research and training company Lorien Customer Focus (LCF), part of Lorien plc, Morrison will be making his industry contacts and considerable financial and marketing experience available to Cobent.<br /><br />Howard Sears, Cobent&rsquo;s CEO, commented, &ldquo;The appointments of Jordan, Phil and Denise, as well as Alistair, will help to drive our business forward. Between them, they have a wealth of experience and widespread sector knowledge which will help to cement the Cobent Learning Compliance Suite (LCS) as one of the best known and most widely used solutions for managing and controlling enterprisewide learning.&rdquo; </p>
