Cbeyond: One of Georgia’s Top Public Companies
<p><strong>Atlanta — July 26</strong><br />Cbeyond Inc., an IP-based managed services provider to small businesses, ranked 16th on The Atlanta Journal Constitution's list of Georgia's top 100 public companies.<br /><br />PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP ranked the list of the top 100 public companies based on five weighted variables: annual revenue, year-over-year revenue change, return on equity, annual change in profit margin in fiscal 2006 and total return on investment for calendar 2006.</p><p>Cbeyond's stock price grew by more than 196 percent in 2006, placing it second among all Georgia public companies for the return-on-investment measure.<br /><br />Cbeyond's BeyondVoice offering is an integrated package of IP-based applications, including local and long-distance voice, broadband Internet and mobile services delivered on one bill. </p><p>Cbeyond customers also can tailor a plan to suit their needs, choosing from more than 20 productivity-enhancing applications such as BlackBerry, Web hosting, fax-to-e-mail and data backup. </p><p>Cbeyond serves more than 29,000 small businesses and offers its services in eight cities throughout the United States.<br /><br />"We experienced great success in 2006 due in large part to the continued adoption of IP-based business solutions," said Jim Geiger, chairman and<br />CEO.
