Breakthroughs of 15 Million USA TODAY Readers

<p><strong>Potomac, Md. &mdash; Aug. 6</strong><br />USA TODAY is delving deeper into the tech marketplace by partnering with Larstan Publishing, a provider of thought leadership marketing, to publish a special eight-page section devoted to hot new technology breakthroughs.</p><p>The section will be published in both print and online during the 2007 holiday season. </p><p>Larstan&#39;s team will manage the entire project, including using its just-released &ldquo;Flipper&rdquo; multimedia publishing software to distribute the section, complete with audio-video demonstrations, via USA TODAY&#39;s Web site. &nbsp;<br /><br />&ldquo;Some technologies need to be experienced in order for consumers to understand and get excited about them,&rdquo; Larstan CEO Larry Genkin said. &ldquo;By writing detailed stories about these technologies in the print edition of USA TODAY and then offering multimedia demos at usatoday.com, we are going to help technology vendors to really resonate with consumers during the critically important holiday buying season.&rdquo;<br /><br />Iin July, USA TODAY struck a separate agreement to publish Larstan&rsquo;s Blogger and Podcaster Guide, a &ldquo;<em>TV Guide</em>&rdquo; for blogs and podcasts, weekly in print and daily online. </p><p>&ldquo;This will be the first time blogs and podcasts are being promoted to mainstream America,&rdquo; said Lenny Fuchs, Larstan Publishing executive vice president. &ldquo;USA TODAY&#39;s commitment to blogging and podcasting may be just the catalyst necessary to have this popular, but nich&eacute;, technology jump into the mainstream. Larstan is excited and honored to be USA Today&#39;s partner in these two special projects.&quot;</p>
