BearingPoint, Oracle Launch Solution to Streamline

<p><strong>McLean, Va. &mdash; June 12</strong><br />BearingPoint Inc., a management and technology consulting firms, and Oracle have announced the availability of a new solution to better automate and streamline employee onboarding&quot; and &quot;offboarding&quot; for large organizations.<br /><br />BearingPoint has leveraged its long-standing relationship with Oracle and experience in business process management, service-oriented architecture (SOA) and human capital management (HCM) to design and develop the solution, which will help streamline the process of integrating a new hire from job offer to orientation to his/her engagement with job goals and performance objectives.<br /><br />Available from BearingPoint, the solution aligns with an array of business systems, including HRMS/talent management, payroll, finance, IT, facilities management, security and procurement, helping companies save time and resources throughout the onboarding process. </p><p>In addition, the solution can also be used to address challenges associated with &quot;offboarding&quot; such as the return of valuable company assets and the shutting down of building/system access when employees leave an organization.<br /><br />&quot;Onboarding is much more than a series of administrative tasks such as receiving an ID badge and establishing benefit elections,&quot; said Robert Hershey, BearingPoint senior vice president and global Oracle practice leader. &quot;It is a critical business process that, if not done strategically, can drive up costs and delay employee integration. Large organizations can waste millions of dollars a year through error-prone, manual processes.&quot;<br /><br />Gretchen Alarcon, Oracle vice president of HCM product strategy, agreed.</p><p>&quot;It was logical to look to BearingPoint to build an onboarding and &#39;offboarding&#39; solution based on Oracle business process management,&quot; Alarcon said. &quot;BearingPoint has expertise with Oracle Fusion Middleware, extensive on-the-ground experience in the field and a strong team of human capital management professionals.</p><p>&quot;Onboarding has not been a top priority for companies in the past, but more CIOs are recognizing that becoming more effective in this area can provide a competitive advantage. Automating onboarding, &#39;offboarding&#39; and other HR processes can deliver substantial ROI for corporations.&quot;<br /><br />BearingPoint&#39;s onboarding and &quot;offboarding&quot; diagnostic offering can help organizations take the first step to baseline current activities and costs, diagnose inefficiencies and control weaknesses, develop a conceptual future state model, build a deployment road map, define the required SOA governance and architecture and ultimately develop the ROI/business case.</p>
