ASA Staffing Index Still Relatively Flat

<p><strong>Alexandria, Va. &mdash; May 2</strong><br />At 96 for the week of April 9-15, the ASA Staffing Index continues to remain relatively flat, showing little change in temporary and contract staffing employment over the past month. </p><p>The index experienced marginal growth over a two-week period, increasing from 96 for the week of March 12-18 to 97 for the week of March 19-25. </p><p>During the following week, March 26-April 1, the index dipped back to a value of 96. </p><p>Several religious holidays were observed over the subsequent week of April 2-8, which might have contributed to further decline of the index to 94. </p><p>Since recovering from an annual end-of-year holiday dip, staffing employment has remained virtually unchanged this year.</p>
