Aptara Names Dev Ganesan as COO

<strong>Falls Church, Va. &mdash; Feb. 11</strong><br />Aptara Inc., a global provider of integrated content transformation solutions, announced the appointment of Dev Ganesan as chief operating officer (COO), in addition to his role as the chief financial officer. A former board member for Aptara, Ganesan had been serving as executive vice president and chief financial officer for the company since August. He is an executive with extensive experience leading technology and services companies through a variety of growth strategies. <br /><br />In his new role as COO, Ganesan will focus on implementing corporate strategy and aligning all aspects of Aptara&rsquo;s business model with customer success and market performance and focusing the company&rsquo;s resources on existing leadership positions in the areas of content transformation and e-learning. <br /><br />&ldquo;Dev brings a great deal of leadership to Aptara, and he continues to be an exceptional and strong addition to our management team,&rdquo; said Ranjit Singh, chief executive officer of Aptara. &ldquo;These new roles will help him continue to assist me to drive value in an exciting growth phase for the company. I look forward to partnering with Dev as we continue to execute on Aptara&#39;s long-term operating model.” <br /><br />Ganesan has a long history of operational and financial successes in managing technology companies. Most recently he served as the president and chief executive officer of Intelliworks Inc., and before that was CEO of TRADOS Inc. Ganesan also was the executive vice president and chief financial officer of Advanced Communications Systems, where under his leadership annual revenues increased from $36 million to $220 million in fewer than four years. He led the company&rsquo;s initial public offering and completed five strategic acquisitions during a three-year period. He serves on the board of directors for several technology companies in the Washington area and the Silicon Valley. <br /> <br />&ldquo;My various roles within Aptara have allowed me to see a tremendous opportunity firsthand.
