AOTMP Seeks Nominations for IT Industry Awards

<strong>Indianapolis</strong><br />AOTMP is seeking nominations for the first Industry Excellence Awards, recognizing enterprises and industry suppliers committed to IT and telecom management best practices. Nominations will be accepted July 1 through Nov. 14.<br /><br />Telecom and IT professionals who have made significant contributions to improving efficiency, controlling costs or implementing effective processes in an enterprise telecom and/or IT environment are eligible for Industry Excellence Awards nomination. A panel of industry experts and thought leaders will judge finalist submissions and determine winners in three categories: Telecom Professional of the Year, Executive Stewardship Award and Project of the Year. <br /><br />A fourth category, Innovation of the Year, requires finalists to deliver a brief presentation at AOTMP&rsquo;s TEM 2009 conference, where attendees will vote for the winner. Finalist presentations and voting for Innovation of the Year will take place during the awards banquet on Feb. 17, 2009. <br /><br />Nominations for Telecom Professional of the Year and the Executive Stewardship Award will be considered for enterprise end users only and may be self-submitted by a group or individual, public relations representatives or vendors may nominate end-user customers. Project of the Year and Innovation of the Year awards include both enterprise and supplier categories and are open to telecom expense management (TEM) suppliers and enterprise professionals. <br /><br />&ldquo;The Industry Excellence Awards will showcase the accomplishments of enterprises and suppliers who have recognized best practices in the industry and put them into action in the enterprise,&rdquo; said Tim Lybrook, AOTMP president and CEO. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s a great opportunity for management to commend teams that have achieved success with TEM programs, and highlighting these successes will be valuable for anyone interested in improving efficiency in enterprise telecom and IT.&rdquo; <br /><br />There is no fee for submitting nominations, and entries for multiple categories will be accepted. Winners will receive a customized award, to be presented at the TEM 2009 Industry Excellence Awards banquet, and recognition in AOTMP industry publications. <br />
