Albany Broadens its Reach in Northern California

<p><strong>Fort Lauderdale, Fla. &mdash; Sept. 19</strong><br />Albany is moving assertively into the Northern California market with its services for workforce management, contractor payrolling and 1099 compliance.</p><p>The company has hired Annette Dowsing as business development manager responsible for the region, and it had an exhibit at the HR West 23rd-annual conference. There, Albany showcased its employer of record services and global workforce management services.<br /><br />&ldquo;Albany&rsquo;s employer of record service is a very attractive alternative for companies that make extensive use of contract labor, such as the high-technology sector,&rdquo; Dowsing said. &ldquo;I&rsquo;m excited to be able to introduce services to customers that truly offer the benefits of significant savings in costs, risk avoidance and administration that Albany provides. </p><p>”Albany&rsquo;s solutions can help businesses achieve cost savings as high as 30 percent when compared to traditional staffing companies.&rdquo;<br /><br />Dowsing comes to Albany from Accountants Inc. in Sacramento, Calif.  </p><p>As business development manager in the Northern California region, Dowsing was responsible for building relationships with C-level clients and presenting the company&rsquo;s finance and accountant staffing services.  </p><p>Previously, Dowsing was an account executive for The Nelson Family of Companies, where she managed new and existing business development, as well as developed and managed marketing and sales programs. </p><p>Dowsing also has branch management experience with Adecco Employment People in the United Kingdom and in California.<br /><br />&ldquo;Annette&rsquo;s previous experience in the staffing industry across a variety of markets will be a key advantage as Albany grows and expands in this region,&rdquo; said Jason Posel, senior vice president of sales and marketing.  &ldquo;She understands the benefits and challenges companies face using contract workers to capably present our workforce management expertise and the value we bring to our clients.&rdquo;<br /><br />Albany&rsquo;s employer of record service enables companies to more efficiently and cost-effectively engage the talent they need while minimizing the risks associated with contract labor. </p><p>Albany acts as a traditional employer &mdash; hiring the workers as its own W2 employees, capturing time and expenses, processing payroll, providing benefits and HR support to them.
