Airwave Chooses Softscape for Performance
Wayland, Mass. — Nov. 15
Softscape, a provider of Web-based human capital management software products, announced that Airwave Solutions Ltd., a public safety mobile communications service provider, selected Softscape’s integrated human capital management solution to help drive the company’s performance and learning initiatives.
Airwave provides services to more than 200 public safety organizations and supports up to 220,000 end users. Airwave’s need for an automated human capital management solution was spurred by an increase in personnel and substantial new business contracts, including the company’s recent agreement to provide public safety mobile communications services to the London Underground. With other large, long-term projects under way, including a new digital radios and communications solutions rollout to the U.K. police, fire and ambulance services, Airwave has added significantly more staff and is implementing Softscape to establish a single system that enables Airwave to align employees’ goals with business objectives, track and measure workers’ performance and ensure essential training is completed.
“To keep pace with our rapid growth, we needed to create more strategic human resources processes,” said Angela Paradise, HR director, Airwave. “With Softscape, we will gain full visibility into employee skill sets, identify top performers and provide appropriate development opportunities to our people so that we can apply the right talent to our customer projects to increase success and improve retention. We were very impressed that the performance management linked into learning management, succession planning and 360-degree feedback and that everything is integrated.”
Softscape will help guide Airwave employees and managers through each step of the organization’s review process and formalize expectations and achievement to ensure that their people are rewarded for their performance. Softscape’s comprehensive people management platform will be beneficial in enabling Airwave to actively develop their people by identifying their strengths and facilitate essential training and learning across the company. This means that Airwave will be able to leverage its existing talent pool and become more proactive in identifying potential skill gaps as it continues to expand its business.
“Companies such as Airwave demonstrate how rapidly growing businesses need to improve their HR processes to better manage their workforce,” said Dave Watkins, chief executive officer, Softscape. “Softscape helps customers redefine their business processes to create greater efficiencies and effectiveness across their entire workforce. Leveraging our innovative technology, processes become more closely linked to business objectives so that they can drive long-term financial and operational success.”
