ACS/Buck to Provide Lafarge Canada with Plan

<p><strong>Toronto &mdash; July 10</strong><br />ACS/Buck, a Canadian human resource and benefits consulting firms, has been retained by Lafarge to continue providing administration services for Lafarge&rsquo;s Canadian defined-benefit pension plans. </p><p>ACS/Buck has provided services to Lafarge since 1997.<br /><br />More than 6,000 active employees and retirees participate in the 16 defined benefit pension plans ACS/Buck serves.<br /><br />Under the terms of the three-year contract, the services provided by ACS/Buck include maintaining a centralized database of all plan records, providing employee benefit statements and benefit calculations, processing pension payments and assisting with employee communication materials.<br /><br />&ldquo;We are continuing our relationship with ACS/Buck because of its outstanding record of service and the excellent working relationship we&rsquo;ve developed with the ACS/Buck team,&quot; said Tony Araujo, Lafarge Canada director of compensation and benefits. &ldquo;By truly acting as an extension of our staff, ACS/Buck has improved the value of our retirement program for our employees.&rdquo;<br /><br />Fan K. Grude, ACS/Buck president and executive managing director, agrees. </p><p>&ldquo;Buck Consultants&rsquo; 90-year history has been built on helping clients such as Lafarge improve the performance of their HR programs while managing their cost of human capital,&rdquo; Grude said. </p>
